A Letter to Sensitive Men:
In a world that misunderstands the true meaning of power, bravery, courage, and what it takes to be a “real man,” you show up.
You understand that true power lies in seeing all sides of a situation. You know it’s not about controlling people or forcing your will upon others.
You stand in courage, as you allow your emotions to be expressed in ways that they are naturally intended to. You feel, even when the world wants you to suck it up and hold in what every human being needs to release.
You don’t feel the need to withdraw from hugging someone just because of his gender.
You’re not afraid to express what lies within your heart.
You understand what really matters.
You are paving a new path for what authentic masculinity really is.
Thank you for being who you are, even when society wants you to be someone else. Thank you for showing us that there is hope for one day living in a world that understands the basics of human compassion, empathy, and connection.
Please don’t ever listen to those who tell you to “man up.” There is such a false sense of understanding in that statement.
In your sensitivity, you are strong. You are powerful. You are, in my belief, the definition of a “real man.”
I appreciate you, honor you, and love you.
